─幻の高温超伝導体MgB₂の発見─
- Found out about phantom high Tc superconductor "MgB₂" -
　
21世紀の幕開けと同時に、私たちは新しい超伝導体MgB2を発見することが出来た。この物質は金属間化合物として最も高い転移温度を持つ物質であり、現在、基礎・応用両面でさかんに研究が進められている。しかし、この物質の発見までには、多くの時間とアイデアを費やした。私たちがどのようにMgB2にたどり着いたか、時間を追いながら紹介していきたい。
In Opening the 21st century, we found a new superconductor MgB2, of which transition temperature is highest among the metal superconductors. This discovery has raised much interest for the research of superconductivity from experimental and theoretical points of view. I describe here how we reached this material through the long struggle.
